UNITED NATION!
Passing along the word to bring healing for our Mother Earth
This special event will take place 12 noon EST. It is also

DRUMS on March 21 at Noon est
HELLO, GREETINGS, ANIIN, TANSI, HAN, HAKODA!!
Darlene Courchene was contacted by my friend Gilles Novaks who is a Montagnais
Indian from Montreal .
He is a Medicine Man and a Healer. He asked me to get as many Tribal people
to participate in a worldwide ceremony called the "8,000 Drums".
He was contacted by two Huron Clan Grandmothers from up there in
w:st="on"> Canada and they
asked him to help spread the word to all Indians everywhere. It will take place
on March 21, 2008 at 12:00 noon
All you need to do is play a drum
either alone, or with a group or have the whole Tribe participate. The purpose
is to fulfill the OTOMI PROPHECY. The Otomi's are Mayan Olmec and Toltec
descendants. The drums will be played so that the Creator will hear us and
grant our wishes as we pray for help in the Healing Process of our Mother
Earth.
People are destroying Her and our Mother Earth needs our prayers. Thank you."
Speaking of Otomi's, I have been to the Otomi Ceremonial Center
near Mexico City. Amazing modern day temple, in honor of the Black Jaguar.
Here are some photos from that lovely place....
Here are a few links about the Otomi:

"As a Prophecy revealed at the Otomi Ceremonial Centre by the
wise Otomi elders to the indigenous peoples and to all of humanity; as a Vision
of our Venerable Ancesters, the day when the sound of eight thousand sacred
drums gather, will be the beginning of the true healing of Mother Earth, of
all Species and Human Family - today totally imbalanced; to be able to co-exist
on the way to Sacred Peace, in harmonic connection with the Universe, Mother
Nature, Community, Family and our own Heart. It is time to reunite and re-encounter
ourselves, the Seeds of the Four Directions, in order to re-activate the cosmic
energy, heal historic wounds, heal our Mother Earth, respecting the life, the
freedom and the dignity our Peoples..."

LAKOTA WINTER SOLSTICE!
LAKOTA NATION CONFIRMED!
December 13, 2007
From Alex Peacemaker, on behalf of the Sinixt Nation in British
Columbia.
Friends,
During this season - when some think about those who are disadvantaged and need
help - Please think about the Sinixt Native people who are the original
inhabitants of
the area now called the West Kootenays, BC, Canada.
The Sinixt are the Mother Tribe progenators of all the vast Salishan dispersion
and they record themselves living in the Upper Columbia River Basin region, as
human beings, for about 2 million
years. There is scientific evidence they have been here for at least 60,000
years.
Sinixt is pronounced Sin Eye X T.
A colonial genocide was committed against the Sinixt. A bounty was
put on them; man,
woman and child - then the government of Canada declared the surviving
Sinixt 'extinct'.
Being declared 'extinct' means the Sinixt have no legal entitlement to: An
Indian Status card,
or a Social Insurance Number, or a medical CareCard, - Sinixt children
are not entitled to a
public school or college education. This makes survival difficult
for the Sinixt in the midst of
Canadian 2nd World prosperity.
Any help you can provide to our Sinixt neighbors will be deeply appreciated: Be
it a few bucks;
or a kind wish; a prayer; or legal assistance. We often think
about the problems of this world in
more distant places. Should we not think about what's going on in
our own backyard?

The Sinixt will soon have their own website but Dr. Karen Wonders - a professor
at a German university has included the Sinixt in her website which provides
a lot of information. www.firstnations.de/invasion.htm?02-4-sinixt.htm <http://www.firstnations.de/invasion.htm?02-4-sinixt.htm>

photo enclosed: Agnice Sophia Campbell - the first Sinixt
child born, under the Right of Return, on Sinixt Land north of the 49th parallel,
in approximately 100 years. The government of Canada declared the Sinixt
extinct. The Sinixt asked the Canadian Department of Indian and Northern
Affairs to remove this unjust 'extinct' status but they recently refused Agnice
and her family Native Indian Status recognition. Agnice‚s grandfather Bob
Campbell asks; "Does this Sinixt child scare the representatives of the people
of Canada? Is this the reason they turn their back on this child?"

Lucy Moore Foundation Update! Remember the event from December 2 in Ukiah?
The CD release party for the CD entitled
"They Bllodied our Islands and Wounded our Knees"?
Well, it was great! In fact, they put down a blanket while we performed. This
was indeed a first for the Light House Band! Hoka Hey, there is more! I have
decided to donate "Lakota 4 Directions" to this project. And, I was informed
by Clayton the other day that John Trudell is donating TWO songs!!!
Dohiyi. Peace.

As we enter the Fifth Night of the Galactic Underworld, it
is so fitting that this message is coming out today. From now on, this section
will consistently report to you updates from TICON. There is now
a section devoted to this matter at riseagain.info/TICON.
Turtle Island Communications is now a portal for news from the Turtle Island
Confederation. In fact, we will do our very best to represent the Black Indigenous/Moor
from within this Global Organization.

they can go and what they can do!!!

Once again, this update is not exclusively dealing with indigenous
peoples or issues. It DOES pertain to all of us living on Turtle Island. It
is part 2 of last month's post regarding the National ID or Real ID. This update
is about currency: the Amero, or at least the possibility of it happening.
This update is about the possibility of a Northern American Union. A Union
which would set out to transform Mexico and Canada into a part of the US Corporation.
I am in no way endorsing, nor am I responsible for the views or material shared

Many Indigenous Cultures have observances and rituals that
we keep at this time. I will save that news for the next section, Celestial
Events. What needs to be addressed at this moment and in this space is something
that will affect everyone that lives on Turtle Island, Sovereign or US Citizen!
I am talking about the National ID or Real Id that was signed into existence
in 2005 and becomes a reality for us in May 2008. States have until 2010 to
comply....rather than reinvent the wheel, I have listed a few pertinent links.
Even snopes talks about this, and it is no urban legend!

The man that made the documentary “America Facism

He also spoke out against the national/real
id.

Hola! Just got back from San Cristobal & Palenque,
Chiapas and Catemaco, Vera Cruz in Mexico. One thing I must comment on is how
difficult it was to find natural corn tortillas. Ol' Uncle Sam has to have
his greedy hands in and on everything, so they have done Mexico the "favor" of
introducing them to "100% Natural Maseca". That is natural GMO's!
Yes, you can eat pork right inside of your corn! When traveling, be sure to
ask the ladies if the tortillas are corn or maseca. In some communities, like
in Palenque, the Indigenous Woman are fighting back, and have begun a movement
to take back the corn. In Vera Cruz, they are doing much better. They look
at you crazy if you ask if it is maseca! "No Way" they will respond
(en espanol!)! Only CORN at this place! In San Cristobal, we had to look very
hard for just plain corn to cook, and we tried so many different vendors and
tortillerias looking for natural CORN tortillas!
While in San Cristobal, I had the opportunity to spend some
time with the Full Moon at the Moon Lodge. I also was able to attend a performance
by FOMMA: "an
acronym for "Fortaleza de la Mujer Maya" or "Strength of the
Mayan Woman." Founded in 1994, the group is a pioneer in theater and social
justice in Mexico. Maintaining the belief that literacy and theater are powerful
tools in building self-confidence, the group works to empower displaced Indian
women and children through literacy programs, job skills training and original
theatrical productions designed to raise awareness of indigenous women's concerns
in Mexico.. " WFU News Service

I will be posting more about this great organization very soon.
In fact, they have produced a line of hand-made, hand dyed yoga clothes, sales
of which sustain the Moon Lodge.
Gratitude, Tchiya Amet
